VRATA — a trainer for practice

Terms of Use

Last changed: 28 September 2026.

This is an agreement between you and Mamikon Melkumov, an independent developer based in Portugal, about the use of the app "VRATA — a trainer for practice". Below, "we" and "the app".

By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

Provider

The provider of the app and your counterparty under this agreement is:

Mamikon Melkumov, mamikon.arch@gmail.com

E-mail: mamikon.arch@gmail.com

The app is offered from Portugal, a member state of the European Union. Under the country-of-origin principle of EU law, the requirements on the provider are determined by Portuguese law. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in are not affected by this.

What this product is

VRATA is a trainer for your own practice: exercises with instructions, a timer, marks of mastery and a record of your sessions. It is a study and discipline tool, and nothing more.

The system the trainer is built around goes back to the classical hermetic tradition and to the work of Franz Bardon, Rawn Clark and other authors. The exercise texts, the explanations and the lists were written for this app in our own words. The trainer is not an edition, a translation or a retelling of anyone's book, is not connected with the rights holders of those books and does not speak on their behalf.

Age

The app is intended for adults. By using it you confirm that you are eighteen or older.

What you get

A subscription opens the content of the trainer for the period paid: the exercises of all ten Steps, the mirrors of the soul, the breakdown by Elements, the plan for the first thirty days, and the reference sections.

Without a subscription these stay available forever: the practice timer, your journal and progress, settings, the safety brief and three exercises of Step I.

You get the right to use the content, not ownership of it. Access is given to you personally and is not transferable.

Subscription, trial and payment

The terms of the particular offer — the length of the trial, the price after it and the billing period — are shown on the subscription screen before you confirm anything. The general rules are below.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within fourteen days. Under EU law this right may end early if you expressly agree to the performance beginning immediately and confirm that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

Purchases in the App Store and on Google Play go through the store. How you declare the withdrawal, how the store obtains your agreement to immediate performance and how a refund is handled are set by the store the purchase went through: Apple under the App Store terms, Google under the Google Play terms. For withdrawal and refunds, turn to Apple or Google accordingly. We ourselves have no access to the payment.

Your records

Your records, journal, mirrors and settings are stored on your device. We do not reach into them and do not pass them anywhere. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

There are no backups on our side. If you delete the app or clear its data without exporting first, the records are gone for good. Exporting the profile to a file is available in settings at any time, and we recommend doing it regularly.

What you may not do

Personal use, quoting in conversation and discussing the practice are, of course, fine.

This is not a medical product

VRATA does not diagnose, treat or prevent any illness, and does not replace the help of a doctor, a therapist or any other specialist. The app gives no medical advice.

The course contains exercises with breath retention, long stillness and concentration on bodily states. They do not suit everyone. If you have a heart or lung condition, epilepsy, high or low blood pressure, if you are pregnant or take medication affecting blood pressure, sleep or the psyche, discuss the practice with a doctor before you begin.

If you feel unwell during practice, stop. Stopping an exercise is never a mistake.

If you are going through a hard state, turn to a specialist rather than to a trainer. The safety brief inside the app explains this in more detail.

No guaranteed result

No timelines and no promises. We do not claim that the practice will give you any ability, state or change. The marks of mastery in the exercises are the system's reference points, not a promise of a result.

Everything you do by these instructions, you do on your own and at your own risk.

How the app works

We do our best to keep the app working properly, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free operation. The app is provided as is. We may change what it contains, add and remove sections, and we may discontinue it; we will give notice of material changes in the app.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profit, or loss of data that did not occur through our fault.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to life and health, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes consumer rights that cannot be removed by agreement.

Ending this agreement

You may end these terms at any time: cancel the subscription and delete the app. We may end your access for a material breach of these terms — with notice, where circumstances allow.

Required terms for the app from the App Store

This section applies if you installed the app from the App Store. It is required by Apple's rules and, where it differs from the rest of this text, it prevails.

The app from Google Play

If you installed the app from Google Play, the purchase and any refund are governed by the Google Play terms. Google is not a party to this agreement.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

Before going to court, write to us: almost everything is settled by email. Consumers in the European Union may also turn to a national alternative dispute resolution body or to the European Consumer Centre of their country.

Changes

These terms may change. We will give notice of material changes in the app. By continuing to use the trainer after that, you accept the new version.
